30.5.2011: Following the sheep and writing down time they use on rest and graze. I gave (to be changed in coming years with another ewe) one 6 month old ewe to a friend who immediately came and fetched her. It is now 17 sheep in the flock. I have still to cut down the amount. Negotiations on one ewe with lamb is ongoing with another friend, the ram will be used at the Midsummer. A Motacilla alba (sädesärla, linavästrik, västäräkki) landed several times among the flock when it was resting. It did most likely catch mosquitos among the sheep, I was too far away to see what it was doing. The bird showed no fear even if it landed only some decimeters from the sheep. The lambs followed very curiously the bird.
