Och fåren bara springer fram när de betar

17-20.5.2011: Grazing: Estonian native sheep are active grazers, meaning that they walk and search in their grazing. Now in the beginning of the pasture season they move a lot.

17-20.5.2011: Ewes and lambs: Ewes call lambs to drink milk when it is time to drink milk. Lambs react immediately and with a hurry on her "special milk call". I discussed this also with an old sheep owner in the village, Leida Kavalik, and she confirmed this issue as well. Lambs may of course also themselves try to drink milk but if there is not enough in the udder or if the ewe think it is not milk time they will not get any - she will with here back leg prevent the lambs from drinking.

16-17.5.2011: Sheep went to the forest to graze, not for a long time, about 20 minutes.
